The Alicorn Quest chronicles events, which began in the year 950 CE and traversed the centuries through 1862 CE. It starts during severe destruction undermining the south Indian port city of Mamallapuram. On the sixteenth of October six of the city’s seven beloved pagodas are lost forever. The story begins when an evil Bedouin named Parees approaches Amar, the endangered schools respected craftsman. The elderly artisan is threatened with death if the gold work he ordered is not completed to his satisfaction. Parees is a mysterious magician, compelled to use a gold star amulet and bangle to seize an alicorn. His desire for the unicorn’s horn is deeply rooted in greed. He is certain of its existence as foretold in an ancient south Indian Naadi shastra prophesy painstakingly scribed in Sanskrit on small palm leaves. The Sanskrit phrases detail the coming of a man who shall acquire access to a unicorn. And further decrees the unwavering reality of the creature many believed to be a fable.
