Celebrated mezzo-soprano Lore Lixenberg curates a one-off Nonclassical special: PIERROT GRENADE ; a night marking the 100th anniversary of Schoenberg’s iconic song-cycle ‘Pierrot Lunaire’

In addition to performances of the Schoenberg with a line-up of vocal stars (5 different ‘Pierrots’ including Jane Manning), Lore has brought together some of the greatest exponents of the still living Lettrist Poetry scene, flown over from France specially for the event.

She is also herself performing ‘Interpretation aphonistique du Pierrot Lunaire d’Arnold Schoenberg’ by the 1946 creator of Lettrism, Isidore Isou.

Our second event back at THE MACBETH, HOXTON, this promises to be a completely unique evening exploring insanity and absurdity, and featuring one of the most important musical works of the 20th century.
