Support local arts, and enjoy a night or afternoon with a terrific show. You'll laugh and the show will charm you.
The Community Theatre of Howell is pleased to announce performances for the CTH summer theatre production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the well-known Shakespeare play in which Hermia loves Lysander. Lysander loves Hermia. Helena loves Demetrius. Demetrius loves Hermia. Problem: Hermia’s father has given Demetrius permission to marry Hermia, not Lysander. Lysander and Hermia take matters in their own hands and run away into the woods, with Demetrius not far behind chasing Hermia, and Helena chasing Demetrius. Throw in some rehearsing actors and quarreling fairies, and it makes for one exciting midsummer night lost in a magical wood.
This production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream includes a cast of 18 very talented teens and young adults, from Livingston County and beyond. The amazing cast includes the Athenians (Jordan Miller as Theseus, Jennifer Marinelli as Hippolyta, Krystin Walker as Egeus, Emily Doran as Hermia, Austin Schippers as Lysander, Rebekah Small as Helena, Zachary Whitt as Demetrius, and Annelise Hoshal as Philostrate), the Fairies (Drew Laughner as Puck, Jordan Miller as Oberon, Jennifer Marinelli as Titania, Cassie Stewart as Peaseblossom, Crystal Blanton as Cobweb, Hannah Enderle as Moth, and Grace Rusceak as Mustardseed),and the Mechanicals (Ross Freeland as Bottom, Mary Elizabeth Whitt as Peter Quince, Joe Bednarczyk as Francis Flute, Krystin Walker as Robin Starveling, Frank Bednarczyk as Tom Snout, and Benaiah Barrieault as Snug).
The show is directed by Sarah Kinnison, assisted by Ann Dilworth. The production staff includes the producer Karla Tobey, assisted by Renee Pesci-Smith.
