Best selling author, B.K. Bostick releases second book and helps send Utah students to Spain.

Send a Student to Spain
North Davis Preparatory Academy (NDPA) is Utah’s first International Spanish Academy (ISA). ISA schools retain a strong emphasis on the Spanish language and all the Spanish cultures of the world. Students in ISA schools build their Spanish language skills so that up to half of their instruction is delivered in Spanish.

North Davis Preparatory Academy has the opportunity to develop student exchange programs and educational trips to Spain. Last year, approximately 30 students traveled to Salamanca, Spain, and its surrounding regions. There, they experienced a unique academic and cultural opportunity. In addition to taking in the sights and sounds of Spain, students completed academic work at the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca, demonstrating proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the Spanish language.

Due to the costs associated with travel and lodging abroad, students are given the chance to apply for scholarships which help cover the $3,000 cost. The second book in Utah author B.K. Bostick’s Huber Hill trilogy-Huber Hill and the Brotherhood of Coronado releases on October 9th, 2012. The story takes place in Salamanca, Spain, the main characters being students who travel abroad to unravel a mysterious plot and recover a centuries old Spanish treasure. During their adventure, the students also learn about Spanish culture and history. In conjunction with his book launch, Bostick, a former teacher at the school, will donate 100% of royalties from copies of Huber Hill and the Brotherhood of Coronado purchased on the day of November 17th to NDPA’s Spain Study Abroad Scholarship Program. In addition, Bostick will be attending NDPA’s Barnes & Noble Book Fair at the Layton, Utah Barnes & Noble Bookstore on November 17th from 11 AM- 3 PM. There, readers will have the opportunity to meet the author, purchase the book, have some fun, and help send a student to Spain!

B.K. Bostick is the author of the best-selling middle-grade novel, Huber Hill and the Dead Man's Treasure. The book also won a silver award from Pub West in the category for Outstanding Design and Production Quality.
